  • 12 oz short pasta rotini, shells, or bowtie
  • 1 cup ranch dressing or prepared ranch seasoning mixed with mayo
  • 6 –8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup green onions or chives chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup frozen peas thawed
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt for extra creaminess

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. Cook pasta in well-salted boiling water until just tender. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Let cool completely.
Prepare the Bacon
  1. Cook bacon until crispy, drain well, and crumble once cooled.
Mix the Dressing Base
  1. In a large bowl, combine ranch dressing with sour cream or yogurt if using.
Assemble the Salad
  1. Add cooled pasta to the bowl and toss gently with the dressing until evenly coated.
Add Bacon and Mix-Ins
  1. Fold in bacon, green onions, cheese, and any optional add-ins. Mix gently.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Toss again just before serving.
