Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp:
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Slaw:
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
For the Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
For Assembly:
  • 6 –8 small tortillas corn or flour
  • Fresh cilantro optional
  • Lime wedges

Method
 

Step 1. Prepare Slaw
  1. In a bowl, mix cabbage, carrots, lime juice, olive oil, and salt. Toss well and set aside.
Step 2. Make Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lime juice, hot sauce, and garlic powder until smooth.
Step 3. Season Shrimp
  1. Toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Step 4. Cook Shrimp
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
Step 5. Warm Tortillas
  1. Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until warm and flexible.
Step 6. Assemble Tacos
  1. Place shrimp in each tortilla, top with slaw, and drizzle with sauce.
Step 7. Garnish and Serve
  1. Add cilantro and a squeeze of lime. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Pat shrimp dry before cooking for better searing.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less hot sauce.
  • Use fresh lime juice for best flavor.
  • Assemble tacos just before serving for best texture.
