Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 green onions sliced

Method
 

Step 1. Prepare the Beef
  1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated.
Step 2. Mix the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water.
Step 3. Heat the Pan
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Step 4. Cook the Beef
  1. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 5. Cook the Broccoli
  1. Add broccoli florets to the pan and stir fry for about 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
Step 6. Add Aromatics
  1. Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 7. Combine and Finish
  1. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Step 8. Serve
  1. Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
