Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 carrot thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions sliced

Method
 

Step 1. Prepare the Beef
  1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated.
Step 2. Mix the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons water.
Step 3. Heat the Pan
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Step 4. Cook the Beef
  1. Add beef in a single layer and cook quickly for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 5. Stir Fry the Vegetables
  1. Add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot to the pan. Stir fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Step 6. Add Aromatics
  1. Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 7. Combine and Finish
  1. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Toss until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
Step 8. Serve
  1. Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
