Step 1. Cook the Beef
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
Step 2. Add Aromatics
- Add diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
Step 3. Add Tomato Base
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth, stirring to combine.
Step 4. Add Cabbage and Rice
- Add chopped cabbage and uncooked rice to the pot. Stir well.
Step 5. Season the Soup
- Add paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix to combine.
Step 6. Simmer
- Bring the soup to a simmer and cook for 25–30 minutes until cabbage is tender and rice is fully cooked.
Step 7. Serve
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
