Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables broccoli, bell pepper, carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup water or broth
  • 2 green onions sliced

Method
 

Step 1. Prepare the Beef
  1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated.
Step 2. Make the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and water or broth.
Step 3. Heat the Pan
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Step 4. Cook the Beef
  1. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 5. Stir Fry the Vegetables
  1. Add mixed vegetables to the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Step 6. Add Aromatics
  1. Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 7. Combine and Finish
  1. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and toss until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
Step 8. Serve
  1. Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
