  • 1 cup corn kernels fresh, canned, or frozen
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or oil
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

Step 1. Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2. Add Wet Ingredients
  1. Add egg, milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until a smooth batter forms.
Step 3. Add the Corn
  1. Fold corn kernels into the batter until evenly distributed.
