Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 lbs chicken wings fresh or thawed
  • –2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt pepper, or garlic powder

Equipment

  • Crockpot / Slow Cooker
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Baking sheet (optional, for broiling)

Method

Prepare the Wings
  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Lightly season them with salt, pepper, or garlic powder.
Add to Crockpot
  1. Lightly grease the crockpot and place the wings inside, spreading them as evenly as possible.
Add BBQ Sauce
  1. Pour barbecue sauce over the wings and gently toss to coat evenly.
Slow Cook
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until wings are fully cooked and tender.
Optional Broil Step
  1. For firmer texture, transfer wings to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes, flipping once.
Serve
  1. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

Do not add water or broth; wings release enough moisture naturally.
Add extra BBQ sauce at the end for a stronger glaze.
Broiling is optional but improves texture.
Great for parties because wings stay warm in the crockpot.
