Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings split and tips removed
  • tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
  • Optional: gluten-free hot sauce for serving

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat chicken wings completely dry using paper towels. This step is essential for crispy skin.
  3. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack, making sure they are not touching.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and serve immediately. Toss lightly with gluten-free hot sauce if desired.
