Ingredients
  

  • 10 low-moisture mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil or avocado oil spray

Method
 

Step 1. Freeze the Cheese
  1. Place mozzarella sticks in the freezer for at least 1 hour until fully firm.
Step 2. Prepare the Coating
  1. In a bowl, mix almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning if using, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3. Prepare the Egg Wash
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs until smooth.
Step 4. First Coating
  1. Dip each frozen mozzarella stick into the egg wash, then roll in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to coat.
Step 5. Second Coating
  1. Repeat the egg wash and coating once more for a double layer.
Step 6. Freeze Again
  1. Place coated sticks back in the freezer for 15–20 minutes to set the coating.
Step 7. Cook Until Crispy
  1. Air fry at 390°F for 6–8 minutes or bake at 425°F for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Watch closely.
Step 8. Rest and Serve
  1. Let cool for 1–2 minutes before serving.
