Step 1. Prepare Meatballs
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until combined. Shape into meatballs.
Step 2. Brown Meatballs
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 3. Cook Vegetables
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and mushrooms until softened.
Step 4. Make Sauce Base
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for 1 minute.
Step 5. Add Broth
- Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring continuously. Add Worcestershire sauce.
Step 6. Simmer Meatballs
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10–15 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
Step 7. Add Sour Cream
- Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until smooth. Do not boil after adding sour cream.
Step 8. Serve
- Serve warm over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes and garnish with parsley.
