Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  • 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • cups chicken broth or water
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon butter chopped fresh parsley

Equipment

  • Slow cooker (4–6 quart)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Tongs or forks (for shredding)

Method
 

Step 1. Add the Chicken
  1. Place the chicken in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2. Mix the Gravy Base
  1. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Step 3. Pour Over Chicken
  1. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it’s mostly covered.
Step 4. Slow Cook
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
Step 5. Shred or Serve Whole
  1. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker for a pulled texture, or leave pieces whole.
Step 6. Finish and Serve
  1. Stir well. Add butter for extra richness if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Chicken thighs stay juicier if cooking longer.
If gravy is too thick, add a splash of broth to loosen.
