Step 1. Add the Chicken
- Place the chicken in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2. Mix the Gravy Base
- In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Step 3. Pour Over Chicken
- Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring it’s mostly covered.
Step 4. Slow Cook
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
Step 5. Shred or Serve Whole
- Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker for a pulled texture, or leave pieces whole.
Step 6. Finish and Serve
- Stir well. Add butter for extra richness if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
